This site has had 1975 visits since last July of 2015. So where is everyone? I know your out there digging around looking for old friends and trying to connect. There is a website located here: http://www.wheeleralumni.com
I check this site under the memorial side to see how everyone is doing. It's not always up to date I think they were working on it a while back. But this is one of the best to get in touch with old friends from Wheeler with that I know of.
I started this site to post photos of Wheeler I took before it was all knocked down and rebuilt to what stands there today. I was the pest control technician for a couple of years so yea it was hard to go back in and walk those halls without you guys being in there. But I did it every month for two years so I got used to it and all the other Cobb schools we went to during this time.
Have you looked in the mirror recently? We are getting old and trust me it shows at least in my reflection. And for those that refuse to admit it just keep on lying to yourself if it makes you feel better.
From those big fluffy 80's hair jobs to the skin tight Jordache jeans and tons of eye shadow to the point your eye lids got infected or your legs from all the dye you put in your fancy jeans yea I remember every single moment like it was yesterday. Fast Times at Ridgemont High didn't hold a candle to our high school years. It's always going to be part of us and for some strange reason I believe it's going to be that way even after we end up on a memorial page. It's just who we are nothing can change that.

In Memory of...............
As the years go creeping past us I keep checking back on the people I remember attending school with. We are not getting any younger and I keep seeing different people slipping past us in the different Wheeler Alumni sites under the "In Memory of" section. It breaks my heart! I didn't know each and every one of these people personally but I do remember being in their class or maybe even just passing them in the hall. In some way or the other when I see their photos I remember them.
If you count the years in elementary, middle and high school that's a long time to see the same people every year. Rather we want to admit it or not those were some of the best years of our lives. I didn't feel so much like that back in the 80's I couldn't wait to get out and explore life. And damn have I wished so many times since then that I could go back and do it all over again. Sure I would have made some changes and applied myself more. But I doubt I could have lived a better life than what I have.
If your reading this and you went to Joseph Wheeler High School in Marietta Ga in the 80's then know that this is all about you and everyone else that attended. I come back and check up on this blog from time to time just for shit's and giggles. Believe it or not this site gets a TON of visitors every month. So I know your out there doing the same thing the rest of us are doing.
Since the birth of the freaking Internet we have found ourselves scattered all over the place in different sites trying to connect with our friends and memories. They move around the sites sell out to other sites. And the membership fees go up and down like crazy. If you slip up and join the wrong site it might be the one that no one makes use of anymore. I walked away from that foolishness and just started this site.
One day I might merge this site with another that could offer more to visitors. But for now this is it. Check out the photos and thank you so much for dropping by.
